On Saturday the 12th of May Ca’ delle Rose
has unclosed its Country Rose Garden.
To the visitors appeared in all of its exuberance
an enchanted rose garden, in which beauty and harmony marry to nature and passion creating a unique blending
of perfumes and colors awaking an intimate wonder
in all the attendants.
Roses, undisputed queens and dressed up with their
most beautiful flowers and buds,
have been the ideal frame of an intense and touching afternoon.
A rare union, simple and precious, a sensitive alchemy,
determined as much as delicate, have turned
this Rendezvous at Ca’ delle Rose into a magical moment,
a unique opportunity to discover Rose’s Universe
and its intrinsic bond with Arts and with Femininity.
Suavely welcomed by the lady of the house, the guests found
information about the birth of the garden, the detailed map
of the rose garden, the list of roses that dwell in it and are available for the passionate.
In an abundance of perfumes and colors among the espaliers of the climbing roses and the branches of the fruit trees, unexpectedly, we could admire the drawings
and the aquarelles of the Parisian illustrator Vincent Brunot
and the photographs of the authoress of the book
The Grace of Roses soon to be published.
The authoritative and spontaneous participation of the town
Mayor of Fossalta di Portogruaro, mister Bruno Panegai,
underlined the ancient presence of the rose in the area
and the desire to be able to pass on and to increase
that same culture – also thanks to the support of the precise knowledge of Grazia Adamo Giovannetti – through
the realization of an absorbing romantic promenade
of antique roses that will join Villa Mocenigo to the Ancient Burg of Gorgo and to its valuable little church
of Santa Cristina.
At last, the amiable host greeted and thanked everybody
telling with friendly and vivid kindness the story of her house, the beginnings of the garden, the love that ties intrinsically
the rebirth of this place to her family’s life and to the creation of her book.
A brief and intense lecture of poetries dedicated to roses,
to love, to woman, in an invisible trilogy,
added utter pathos to this dense of emotions afternoon.
Still filled with the poets’ last verses,
the attendants were invited to taste the rose flavour delicacies maison, prepared for the occurrence
by the house.
In the golden light of nightfall the garden offered
its most delicate perfumes.
The flowers offered a cameo with indescribable
nuances.
The atmosphere radiates a sweet melody
that rocked for a long time our hearts.
The grace of the roses will receive the visitors during the next spring season with sophisticated and pleasant new meetings.
